Welcome to Quate, a web application for managing the quality of your life. The Quate application and website(s) [hereinafter referred to collectively as "Quate", “quate”, "the web application" or “the website”] are owned and operated by Altite Corp and its corporate affiliates and/or assignors [hereinafter referred to collectively as “we" or "the Company"]. By registering for, accessing or using the web site(s) or application at www.quate.com www.lifearenas.com or other domains or mobile versions thereof [hereinafter referred to as "Site" or “application”] you [hereinafter referred to as "User"] acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy, whether or not you are a registered user. We may change, modify, add, or delete portions of this Privacy Policy at any time without further notice by posting changes to the Privacy Policy on this page. Your continued use of the website after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to abide by these or any future Privacy Policy, do not use or access (or continue to use or access) the Service or the Site. It is your responsibility to regularly check the website to determine if there have been changes to the Privacy Policy and to review such changes.

Personal information

When you register with www.quate.com, you provide us with your email address, your user name and password. That information is stored in our database during the period of your registration. We do not sell or use your email address for any purpose other than to provide you with your password, should your forget your password, or as the return address on any email sent by you using the Shoutout feature of quate. Anytime you enter quate we may collect your browser type and IP address. This information is gathered for all visitors. We use session ID cookies to confirm that users are logged in. These cookies terminate once the user closes the browser. We do not use “cookies” to store other information from your browser, although third-party advertisers may employ “cookies” for the purpose of tracking usage and/or transactions. Your email, user name and password and not available to third-party advertisers.

When you make an entry on quate, the information you enter is transmitted to and saved in our database on our host. Any text, image, material, information, form, or e-mail user adds, retrieves, modifies or stores in Altite's database as part of the web application shall be deemed Confidential to the extent permitted by federal, state, local and/or international law and the web application security and shall be deemed the property of the user, except that statistical information regarding the number of times a particular Arena, Emotion and/or combination thereof is chosen may be accumulated by Altite and shall be the sole property of Altite. It is understood that such statistical information will not be stored in a manner as to be associated with an individual user. Any Information transmitted or provided to advertisers, businesses or organizations on the website by any means will be considered NON-CONFIDENTIAL and NON-PROPRIETARY. Altite shall not disclose any information contained in its databases (except as to statistical information described above), to third-parties without your written or verbal consent, except that Altite may disclose such information as is required by law, including pursuant to subpoena, court order or lawful request of a governmental or law enforcement agency. User agrees not to transmit or provide to and/or through Altite at this domain and/or other domain, Altite advertisers on website, businesses listed on website and/or this website and/or Altite databases any unlawful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic or otherwise offensive information. User posts information on the website at your own risk. Although we employ security measure to limit access to your information, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. We cannot control the actions of person to whom you share your username, password, email address or to whom you email entries using the Shoutout feature of quate. In addition, it is your sole responsibility to protect your email, username and password and it is highly recommended that you do not allow computers you use to access quate to memorize or remember your username and/or password. We also recommend that you use a username, password and security question and answer which is not likely to be guessed by persons you know in order to protect your information. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that information you post to the database will not be viewed by unauthorized persons. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Site. If you use the Shoutout feature to ask someone of your choosing for advice on a particular entry, we will ask you for information needed to send the invitation, such as that person's email address. We will send your friend an email in your name inviting him or her to reply by email directly to you. By using quate, you are consenting to have your personal data transferred to and processed in the United States.

Children Under Age 13

Altite does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register. If you are under 13, please do not attempt to register for quate.com or send any information about yourself to us, including your email address. No one under age 13 may provide any personal information to or on quate. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us as set forth at the bottom of this Privacy Policy.

Children Between the Ages of 13 and 18

We recommend that minors 13 years of age or older ask their parents for permission before sending any information about themselves to anyone over the Internet.

Use of Information Obtained by Quate

Altite may use statistical information regarding your usage of the application which does not identify you as an individual to third parties.

Quate may contain hyperlinks to other websites. We are of course not responsible for the privacy practices of other web sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by Altite.

Third Party Advertising

Advertisements that appear on quate are sometimes delivered (or "served") directly to users by third party advertisers. They automatically receive your IP address when this happens. These third party advertisers may also download cookies to your computer, or use other technologies such as JavaScript and "web beacons" to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize advertising content. Doing this allows the advertising network to recognize your computer each time they send you an advertisement in order to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize advertising content. In this way, they may compile information about where individuals using your computer or browser saw their advertisements and determine which advertisements are clicked. Altite does not have access to or control of the cookies that may be placed by the third party advertisers. Third party advertisers have no access to your contact information stored on quate. This privacy policy covers the use of cookies by Altite and does not cover the use of cookies or other tracking technologies by any of its advertisers.

Deleting your information

Individuals who wish to delete their quate account may do so on the My Profile page. Deleted information may persist in backup copies for a reasonable period of time but will otherwise not available to anyone. Once you Delete your information, it cannot be retrieved by any means.
